Who is Noah Sluys?
Noah Sluys
Born on March 23rd, 2008, a kid who always loved working with his hands.
As a kid he always used to love drawing, and his parents always told him that he had it in him; later on he saw that he in fact did not, but yet he still had a passion for it. As he got older the drawing faded away, and he started doing carpentry, but it just didn’t sit right. He was always different from the other guys at the school: sagging, big shoes, and super baggy jeans (at least for that time). One day he had enough, so he followed his dreams and went to Sint-Lukas Kunsthumaniora Brussels. He had this idea of doing architecture, but the precise work just didn’t work out so he started to create art based on his personal interests and feelings. Clothes were always something that felt like a way of comfort or self-expression, so he started to learn how to sew together with his grandma, learning a lot in the process. Clothes were a way to show the different eras that he went through, and so he kept evolving. Besides the fact that he loved making clothes, he also had a passion for sketching his surroundings. It was a way to capture a moment and keep it somewhere that he wouldn’t lose it. At this certain point he wouldn’t describe himself as an artist yet, but he knows for sure that he will be one by 2026.
